The Gilas Pilipinas Boys team is currently competing at the FIBA U18 Asia Cup in Jordan.

On Friday, the Philippines will face Japan in the qualification for a quarterfinals slot.

Group phase:

• Philippines vs Indonesia - Gilas wins, 75-48
• Jordan vs Philippines - Jordan wins, 62-56
• Philippines vs New Zealand - New Zealand wins, 75-58

After the group phase, the Philippines placed third in Group D with a 1-2 card. New Zealand topped the group with 3-0, while Jordan placed second with 2-1. Indonesia was winless in three games to finish fourth.

Only the top teams of each group will directly advanced to the quarterfinals, while the second and third best groups will play in the qualification for the quarterfinals.
