PBA: June Mar Fajardo hits game-winner as San Miguel deals Rain or Shine its first loss

June Mar Fajardo sealed the deal for San Miguel as the Beermen handed Rain or Shine its first loss, 113-112, on Thursday in the PBA Governors' Cup at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium in Manila.

San Miguel was leading 111-108 with six seconds remaining in the game, but a foul was called on Chris Ross as Felix Lemetti was trying to connect from beyond the second arc. Lemetti eventually sank all four free throws to give Rain or Shine a slim 112-111 lead.

However, Fajardo eventually received the ball from CJ Perez and made a jumper to beat the buzzer and give the win to the Beermen.

Fajardo posted 27 points, 21 rebounds, an assist, and a steal to lead the locals of San Miguel as they improved to 3-2 in Group B. Import Jordan Adams, meanwhile, had 41 points, six rebounds, five assists, and a steal.

Lemetti led Rain or Shine with 28 points, while Aaron Fuller had 24 points and 19 rebounds as the Elasto Painters slipped to 4-1.

Earlier, TNT (4-1) defeated Terrafirma (0-5), 107-89.
