PBA: TNT bounces back at Magnolia's expense
TNT survived Magnolia, 88-82, to return to its winning ways in the PBA Governors' Cup on Thursday at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium in Manila.
The Tropang Giga were leading 72-66 at the end of the fourth quarter before the Hotshots reclaimed the lead, 80-78, after an Ian Sangalang jumper at the 3:33 mark. TNT import Rondae Hollis-Jefferson then drilled a triple to start a 10-0 run to seal the win.
Hollis-Jefferson had 32 points, 19 rebounds, seven assists, two steals, and a block, while Rey Nambatac led the locals with 15 points. RR Pogoy added 10 points as TNT improved to 3-1.
Glenn Robinson III had 19 points, 15 rebounds, three assists, and a steal, while Zav Lucero had 14 points as Magnolia slipped to 1-2 in Group A.
