Ricky Vargas re-elected as PBA chairman, Alfrancis Chua voted as vice chair

TNT Tropang Giga governor Ricky Vargas has received a new mandate as the PBA chairman after he was re-elected last Sunday.

Vargas will serve as the leader of the PBA's board for the seventh time.

Meanwhile, Barangay Ginebra governor Alfrancis Chua was voted as the vice chairman, succeeding Bobby Rosales of Terrafirma while Atty. Ogie Narvasa will be the new secretary and legal counsel.

Raymond Zorilla of Phoenix was retained as the treasurer. Concurrent commissioner Willie Marcial will also have a second three-year term.

The election came just a little over a month before Season 49 kicks off on August 18 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
