San Miguel, Meralco to represent PBA in EASL

The San Miguel Beermen and Meralco Bolts are set to represent the PBA in the upcoming season of East Asia Super League (EASL).

The league confirmed the development on Friday.

San Miguel won the Commissioner's Cup title early this year, while the Bolts won its first title in the recent Philippine Cup.

The Beermen are pooled in Group A, along with Japan B.LEAGUE champs Hiroshima Dragonflies, KBL team Suwon KT Sonicboom, and P. LEAGUE+'s Taoyuan Pauian Pilots from Taiwan.

Meralco, meanwhile, is in Group B with Japan's Ryukyu Golden Kings, Korean team Busan KCC Egis, and P. LEAGUE+ champs New Taipei Kings.

‍Japan's Chiba Jets won the EASL crown last season.
