NorthPort ships Brent Paraiso to Terrafirma for future draft pick
NorthPort's offseason moves continue with Brent Paraiso the latest to be sent away by the Batang Pier as he now goes to Terrafirma ahead of PBA Governors' Cup for Season 49.
NorthPort shipped Paraiso to the Dyip in exchange for Terrafirma's second round pick in Season 51 Rookie Draft. The league approved the deal on Wednesday.
Last Monday, NorthPort also made a huge transaction when it sent rising star Zav Lucero to Magnolia to acquire the rights to Jio Jalalon and Abu Tratter. The Batang Pier also traded Ben Adamos to Barangay Ginebra for Sidney Onwubere.
Paraiso, who was part of the last two titles in Colegio de San Juan de Letran's three-peat run in the NCAA, hardly saw minutes during the previous Philippine Cup with the Barang Pier, logging in 7:42 minutes and averaged 2.30 points, 1.10 rebounds, and 0.70 assists.
In Terrafirma, Paraiso will reunite with former college teammate Louie Sangalang, Allen Mina, and Tommy Olivario.
In another move, Rain or Shine also sent former Benilde Blazer Miggy Corteza to Blackwater in exchange for the Bossing's Season 51 second round pick.
Corteza, who helped the Blazers reach the finals in Season 98, was selected by the Elasto Painters in the second round of the recent PBA Draft.
