PBA: Barangay Ginebra sends Standhardinger, Pringle for Terrafirma's Holt, Go
Teams are moving ahead of the PBA Rookie Draft as Barangay Ginebra sent Christian Standhardinger and Stanley Pringle to Terrafirma for the Dyip's Stephen Holt and Isaac Go.
The trade was announced on Saturday ahead of the league's draft on Sunday.
Aside from the players involved, the two teams also swapped first round picks, with Ginebra picking the third overall pick while Terrafirma will get the 10th selection.
Standhardinger, who posted averages of 19.2 points, 10.2 rebounds, and 5.0 assists per game last season, currently ranks second in the MVP race. Terrafirma will be his fourth team since joining the league in 2018 after also previously playing with the San Miguel Beermen and NorthPort Batang Pier.
Holt, meanwhile, has averages of 17.0 points, 6.9 rebounds, 5.5 assists, and 1.9 steals per game in his first season with the league. He is also the top rookie and ranks sixth in the MVP race.
Holt and Go are expected to help Barangay Ginebra who has been missing the services of Scottie Thompson and Jamie Malonzo due to injuries.
Standhardinger and Pringle, on the other hand, are expected to boost Terrafirma as it made a quarterfinals finish in the last PBA Philippine Cup.
