Gilas Pilipinas at the 2024 FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament
Gilas Pilipinas will look to book a ticket to the 2024 Paris Olympics when it competes in the 2024 FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament (OQT) on Thursday in Riga, Latvia.
Under the guidance of head coach Tim Cone, naturalized player Justin Brownlee and PBA 7-time Most Valuable Player June Mar Fajardo will lead the nationals in its last chance to qualify for this year's Summer Games.

Lineup
Gilas will compete with only 11 players in its roster as Scottie Thompson, AJ Edu, and Jamie Malonzo are not included due to injuries.
However, Cone's core remained intact as aside from Brownlee and Fajardo, included in the lineup are Dwight Ramos, Japeth Aguilar, Chris Newsome, CJ Perez, Calvin Oftana, Kai Sotto, Carl Tamayo, and Kevin Quiambao. Mason Amos will also suit up for the national team.

Prior to the OQT, Gilas played in friendly matches against Turkey and Poland. The Philippines lost to Turkey, 84-73, while it fell just short against Poland, 82-80.
Schedule and results
World no. 37 Gilas is pooled in Group A with Latvia (rank no. 6) and Georgia (rank no. 23).
- Gilas Pilipinas vs Latvia -- Gilas wins, 89-80.
- Gilas Pilipinas vs Georgia -- Georgia wins, 96-94.
On Wednesday (Philippine time), Latvia defeated Georgia, 83-55.
Group B, meanwhile, is composed of Brazil, Montenegro, and Cameroon.
Gilas finished second in Group A which allowed it to advance to the semifinals.

With the loss, Brazil ended Gilas' dream run in the Olympic qualifiers.
The Philippines last qualified to the Olympics for basketball in 1972.
