Strong Group adds DJ Fenner, Tajuan Agee for Jones Cup
The Strong Group Athletics continues to bolster its lineup for the upcoming William Jones Cup in Taiwan as it signed Filipino-American guard DJ Fenner and American big man Tajuan Agee for its campaign.
Fenner, a 6-foot-6 guard from Seattle, Washington and a product of University of Nevada, traces his roots to Malabon.
“It feels like it’s meant to be! Traveling to the Philippines has always been a dream and goal of mine since I was a little kid, and now, to be able to not just travel there, but to represent the country and stand for something bigger… I don’t know if I even have the words to express how I feel,” said the 30-year-old who also played professionally in European clubs in Greece, Hungary, Bosnia, Serbia, Portugal, Poland, and the Netherlands.
He recently played in the Netherlands with Heroes Den Bosch where he posted 11.55 points, 3.73 rebounds, and 1.33 assists per game and helped the team reach the Bnxt League Finals.
Agee, meanwhile, is a 26-year old big man from Chicago.
Despite not being picked in the 2020 NBA Draft, he had stints in Bulgaria, Germany, New Zealand. He recently played in France with the BCM Gravelines-Dunkerque.
“Tajuan Agee is someone who caught my eye while I was watching some games in Europe. I like what he can bring to the table; he’s got great athleticism and can shoot too,” said Strong Group head coach Charles Tiu.
Fenner and Agee will join the likes of Kiefer Ravena, Rhenz Abando, RJ Abarrientos, Angelo Kouame, Jordan Heading, Caelan Tiongson, and Chris McCollough in the team.
