Dwight Ramos re-signs with Levanga; Kai Sotto parts ways with Yokohama
Dwight Ramos has decided to stay put in Japan as he inked a new deal with the Levanga Hokkaido for the 2024-2025 Japan B. League, the team announced on Tuesday.
This marked Ramos' fourth season in the league and his third year with Levanga, which he joined in May 2022 following a one-year stint with the Toyama Grouses.
"We would like to inform you that Levanga Hokkaido has agreed to a player contract with Dwight Ramos for the 2024-2025 season. In the new season, please give your full support to Ramos," Levanga said in an Instagram post.
Levanga is looking to start afresh in the upcoming new season after they finished at the 21st spot in the previous season with a 17-43 win-loss card.
During that run, the 25-year-old Filipino import posted 10.7 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 2.4 assists to help pace the club.
Meanwhile, Kai Sotto has parted ways with the Yokohama B-Corsairs following a short stint that saw him transfer from the Hiroshima Dragonflies on loan.
Yokohama said that the loan period has expired, prompting both camps to end the contract.
