Kiefer Ravena, Shiga Lakes capture B2 crown

Kiefer Ravena won his first professional title after the Shiga Lakes escaped Koshigaya, 89-87, in Game 2 of their best-of-three final series to reign supreme in the Japan B.League B2 on Sunday night.

The Filipino import got the starting role and finished with 10 points, eight assists, and three rebounds as the Lakes capped off their magical run in the second-tier Japanese league.

Justin Burrell top-scored Shiga with 25 points, five boards, two dimes, and a steal while Brock Motum chipped in 17 markers, seven assists, and four rebounds to help the cause.

Shiga had already secured its promotion ticket to B1 even prior to the championship round after clinching one of the two finals berths. The Lakes were relegated to B2 last year after only tallying 14 wins last season to finish at 23rd place.
