San Miguel downs Rain or Shine, goes 2-0 in semis series

San Miguel took down Rain or Shine, 106-89, in Game 2 of the PBA Philippine Cup semifinals on Sunday at the Mall of Asia Arena to get back-to-back wins in their best-of-seven series.

The Beermen pulled away in the third period as they made a 10-0 run with around two minutes left in the frame and ended it at 88-71 in their favor.

San Miguel led by 19, 92-73, early in the fourth period before cruising to the victory.

June Mar Fajardo posted 22 points and 10 rebounds, on top of four assists, while CJ Perez also registered his own double-double with 19 points and 11 boards, while Terrence Romeo had 16 points, five rebounds, and five assists for the Beermen.

Anton Asistio had 20 points, while Adrian Nocum had 17 points, nine rebounds, and four assists for Rain or Shine.
