Haircut worth it as Kyt Jimenez wins first PBA title with San Miguel
Moments after the San Miguel Beermen won the PBA Commissioner's Cup title, June Mar Fajardo entered the dugout and looked for rookie Kyt Jimenez.
For the 7-time Most Valuable Player, it's time to trim Jimenez' long hair.
It was a deal Jimenez and Fajardo talked upon when the rookie made his way to the team.
"Naging deal namin 'yun ni Kuya June Mar and coach Chris, pag nag-champion automatic gugupitin buhok ko," Jimenez told the media on Wednesday.
Jimenez said he had that hairstyle even before the pandemic, but for him, the cut was worth it.
"Rookie pa ako tapos nag-champion na agad," he said.
(It was a deal Kuya June Mar, Coach Chris, and I had that when we become champions, automatically my hair will be cut. I'm just a rookie but I am a champion already.)

Jimenez, picked 76th overall in the PBA Draft, recalled how his career started as he relished his first PBA title in just his first conference.
"Sobrang sarap sa feeling. Alam naman ng lahat na naglalaro lang ako ng mga ligang labas, dumadayo, pero para sa akin nagbigay ng magandang daan si Lord kung paano ako napunta rito."
(It's a very good feeling. Everyone knows I played in bush leagues, going from one game to another, but for me it was the Lord who paved the way to bring me here.)
With the Philippine Cup coming, Jimenez said he will still give his all despite San Miguel's deep bench.
Aside from that, he still has one plan in mind.
"Papagupit pa ako. Pagdating siguro ng Philippine Cup, new hairstyle."
(I'll still have a haircut. Probably a new hairstyle by Philippine Cup.)
