As Jorge Gallent wins first PBA title as head coach, is another one coming?
Jorge Gallent on Wednesday won his first PBA title as head coach as the San Miguel Beermen overcame the Magnolia Chicken Timplados Hotshots, 104-102, in Game 6 of the Commissioner's Cup Finals.
While the Beermen are still in cloud nine after winning the championship, Gallent, however, said he has yet to see how the Philippine Cup will unfold.
"We're gonna enjoy this first with my coaches, with my players, and we'll see what happens," the San Miguel head coach told the press when asked about winning the next conference.
"That's our dream, that's what CJ [Perez] said. It's easy to say but that's hard work."
Despite Gallent saying another title will be a tough feat, the Beermen's deep roster, however, proves otherwise as it has the likes of 7-time Most Valuable Player June Mar Fajardo, CJ Perez, Marcio Lassiter, and Chris Ross — to name a few.
"If the Lord wants to give me one more, of course I'm gonna be grateful for it as a blessing."
