Baser Amer officially joins NLEX
After parting ways with Blackwater, Baser Amer has officially joined his new home NLEX after signing a contract with the Road Warriors on Monday evening.
NLEX team governor Ronald Dulatre confirmed the development to GMA Integrated News.
Amer is poised to be a big addition to the current Road Warriors roster that already features fellow former San Beda standouts in Robert Bolick, Dave Marcelo, and Anthony Semerad as well as veterans Sean Anthony and Robert Herndon.
Amer will also get to reunite with his old college coach Frankie Lim, who currently calls the shots for the Road Warriors.
"Masaya ako na makasama sila Coach Frankie at mga iba pang Bedista dito sa NLEX. Gagawin ko ang best ko para makuha namin yung championship," Amer said in a statement.
[I'm happy to join Coach Frankie and the other Bedistas here in NLEX. I'll do my best so that we could win the championship.]
Amer is expected to make his debut come the Philippine Cup, where NLEX will be looking to build on the momentum they had in the previous conference that saw them fall just short of a quarterfinals appearance.
