CJ Perez wins first Best Player of the Conference award; Johnathan Williams is Best Import

CJ Perez of the San Miguel Beermen was named Best Player of the Conference in the PBA Commissioner's Cup on Friday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Perez bested Christian Standhardinger (Barangay Ginebra), Arvin Tolentino (NorthPort), and Calvin Oftana (TNT) for his first BPC award.
Phoenix Super LPG Fuel Masters reinforcement Johnathan Williams, meanwhile, was named as Best Import, besting finalists Tyler Bey (Magnolia) and Bennie Boatwright (San Miguel), and Tony Bishop (Barangay Ginebra).
Williams was crucial in Phoenix campaign as he posted 27 points, 15.64 rebounds, 5.45 assists, and 1.36 blocks per game at the end of the elimination round. The Fuel Masters were eliminated by Magnolia in the semifinals.
The said awards are determined by statistics, and votes from the media and players.
