NU topples FEU, sets up finals faceoff vs Adamson

National University Nazareth School dethroned Far Eastern University-Diliman in the UAAP high school boys basketball tournament after winning in their Final Four match, 80-69, on Wednesday at the Filoil EcoOil Centre in San Juan.

Collins Akowe led the Bullpups with 24 points and 14 rebounds, while Klein Tagotongan and Alnhumaeri Usop chipped in 12 and 10 points apiece.

Veejay Pre led the Baby Tamaraws with 23 points.

NU finished second at the end of the elimination round with an 11-3 card, while FEU finished third with a 9-5 record.

The Bullpups will face top seeded Adamson University, which finished with a 13-1 record, in the finals. The Baby Falcons dispatched the University of Santo Tomas in the Final Four, 80-66.
