Kevin Quiambao flaunted his form anew as Strong Group Athletics preserved its unbeaten run after eking out a 95-73 triumph against Sports Club Beirut in the 33rd Dubai International Basketball Championship on early Wednesday (Manila time).
The reigning UAAP MVP shot 4-of-9 from downtown to collect 20 points on top of four rebounds and a steal to help the Philippine representative improve to 4-0 in Group B and move a win away from a group stage sweep.
With the win, Strong Group has also clinched a quarterfinals spot.
Mckenzie Moore continued his fine showing for Strong Group, pouring in an all-around outing of 19 points, five rebounds, and eight assists while Dwight Howard flirted with a double-double of 11 markers and nine boards alongside two dimes and one swat.
The backcourt duo of Jordan Heading and JD Cagulangan also shone, chipping in 15 and 12 points apiece.
Strong Group will look to close out the group stage on a strong note as it takes on fellow undefeated team Al Ahli Tripoli of Libya on Thursday at 1:15 a.m.
