Yengskivel Sportswear rules NBTC North Luzon regionals

Yengskivel Sportswear ruled the 2024 North Luzon Regional Championship of the National Basketball Training Center (NBTC) after dispatching the Philippine College of Science and Technology (PHILCST)-Calasiao in the finals, 83-66, on Sunday at the Ilocos Norte Centennial Arena.

The finals victory completed the perfect run of the Camanava representative led by Jevy Hinoguin who was named as the tournament's Most Outstanding Player.

Aside from the two finalists, the Pampanga Lanterns and Bulacan's 1 San Rafael booked slots in the NBTC National Finals which will be held at the Mall of Asia Arena on March 18 to 24.

Pampanga finished third after besting 1 San Rafael, 88-68.

For NBTC program director Eric Altamirano, the regional championship saw the potential and skills of players from the region.

"Ang ganda ng nangyari rito sa Regional Championship natin kasi tayo mismo, nakita natin up close and personal 'yung galing and potential ng mga player from North Luzon. Hopefully, this will continue in our next three Regional Championships," said NBTC program director Eric Altamirano.

Aside from North Luzon, regional championships will be held in Mindanao, Visayas, and South Luzon.
