PBA: Chot Reyes back as TNT head coach

Chot Reyes is back at the helm of TNT.

Tropang Giga on early Saturday announced that Reyes will call the shots anew and will take over Jojo Lastimosa who will return to his post as the team manager after signing an extension deal. 

Reyes is coming off a three-month breather from the coaching scene after he took a break following the country's hosting of the 2023 FIBA World Cup, where Gilas Pilipinas closed out its campaign with one win. 

The 59-year-old mentor returns to TNT helm almost a year after leaving it under the guidance of Lastimosa, who served as the interim coach during the Season 47 Governors' Cup and steered the team to the championship. 

Reyes, a nine-time PBA champion and six-time Coach of the Year, is set to take over a TNT squad that recently absorbed a quarterfinal exit in the ongoing Season 48 Commissioner's Cup after bowing to top seed Magnolia.
