Strong Group names Dwight Howard, Andre Roberson, Andray Blatche in roster; Brian Goorjian as consultant

Aside from Dwight Howard, former NBA player Andre Roberson and Gilas Pilipinas naturalized player Andray Blatche will be part of Strong Group's roster in the upcoming Dubai International Basketball Championship which will be held from January 19-28.

Team head coach Charles Tiu confirmed the development on Wednesday in a message to GMA Integrated News.

On Tuesday, it was reported by The Athletic's Shams Charania that Howard would be suiting up for Strong Group in the Dubai tilt.

Aside from the former NBA players, Kevin Quiambao and Francis Escandor of De La Salle University and JD Cagulangan of the University of the Philippines will also be in the roster.

"I will include some Benilde guys to be determined," Tiu answered when asked on the possibility of including players from De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde.

In a release, the Strong Group said they will also include former TNT import McKenzie Moore.

Former Bay Area Dragons head coach Brian Goorjian will also be part of Tiu's coaching staff.

"He will be my consultant/assistant," he said.

Rajko Toroman, for now, will not be with Strong Group in the Dubai tilt.

In 2023, Strong Group finished in the quarterfinals of the said tournament.
