Migs Oczon leaves for Korea as he joins Ulsan in KBL

Migs Oczon signs with Korean team

Migs Oczon is tipped to open a new chapter in his rising career as he flew to South Korea today to join his new squad Ulsan Hyundai Mobis Phoebus in the Korean Basketball League (KBL).

Oczon recently decided to forego his remaining two years of eligibility with the De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde to make a big jump to the pro ranks.

In his two seasons with the Blazers under the tutelage of head coach Charles Tiu, the 6-foot sniper blossomed into a deadly threat on offense, emerging as Benilde's top scorer in Season 99 with 13.37 points per game alongside 4.79 rebounds, 2.68 dimes, and 1.16 steals as they wound up third.

He will join Ulsan that currently ranks sixth in the ongoing 2023-2024 season with a 12-14 win-loss record.

Oczon will also get to reunite, albeit as foes, with fellow Filipino imports Rhenz Abando (Anyang), Dave Ildefonso (Suwon), SJ Belangel (Daegu), Juan Gomez de Liaño (Seoul), and Justine Gutang (Changwon).
