Adamson University standout Jerom Lastimosa bade farewell to his beloved alma mater as he capped his collegiate stint with the Soaring Falcons.
On Christmas Day, Lastimosa thanked those who supported him in his five-year journey with the San Marcelino-based squad.
“Maraming salamat sa limang taon, Adamson. Coaches, bosses, Klasmeyts, at sa buong UAAP community. Walang Jerom Lastimosa kung wala kayo,” he wrote.
“JL7 signing off.”
Before the season started, Adamson retired Lastimosa’s jersey no. 7 in recognition of his achievements as a Soaring Falcon and a national team player.
However, injuries marred his last playing year as he fully tore his ACL upon his return from recovery from a partial tear.
Adamson played Lastimosa during the final moments of their Final Four playoff against Ateneo de Manila University. In a gesture of sportsmanship, Ateneo allowed Lastimosa to drill a triple to cap his UAAP career.
Earlier this month, Lastimosa underwent surgery for his injury.
