PBA: Rain or Shine hands Magnolia first loss

The Rain or Shine Elasto Painters handed the Magnolia Chicken Timplados Hotshots their first loss in the PBA Commissioner's Cup, 113-110, on Saturday at the Aquilino Pimentel International Convention Center in Cagayan de Oro.

With the win, Magnolia went down to 7-1, while Rain or Shine improved to 3-5.

The Hotshots were leading 108-104 with 2:23 left in the fourth period before triples from Keith Datu and Santi Santillan gave Rain or Shine the lead. 

A split from Andrei Caracut after a foul from Jio Jalalon gave the Elasto Painters a three-point lead before Tyler Bey dunked to cut Magnolia's deficit to one. 

Another split from Caracut and a free throw from import Demetrius Treadwell handed Rain or Shine its third straight win after a 0-5 opening in the conference.

Treadwell flirted with a triple-double as he posted 30 points, 16 rebounds, and nine boards, while Caracut led the locals with 15 points and six assists. 

Bey had 30 points and 11 boards, while Paul Lee and Mark Barroca had 22 and 20 points, respectively.
