Kevin Quiambao, Kacey dela Rosa named UAAP Season 86 MVPs
De La Salle University's Kevin Quiambao and Ateneo de Manila University's Kacey dela Rosa were named as Most Valuable Players in the UAAP Season 86 basketball tournaments.
Quiambao copped the top individual award in the men's tournament after posting 16.71 points, 10.86 rebounds, 6.0 assists, 1.93 steals, and 0.86 blocks per game en route to 97.0 statistical points.
The Green Archer is the first local to receive the MVP award since Kiefer Ravena in 2015. Quiambao will also be the first local Lasallian to win the top plum since Don Allado in 1999.
Joining Quiambao in the Mythical Five are Rey Remogat (UE), Evan Nelle (DLSU), Malick Diouf (UP), and Ljay Gonzales (FEU).
Francis Lopez of the Fighting Maroons was named Rookie of the Year.
On the women's side, Dela Rosa bagged the MVP plum after logging 19.57 points, 12.0 rebounds, 2.64 blocks, and 1.5 steals per game for 83.857 SPs.
Josee Kaputu (FEU), Kent Pastrana (UST), Junize Calago (Ateneo), and Tantoy Ferrer (UST) complete the Mythical Five.
UP's Favour Onoh was named Rookie of the Year.
