PBA: Rain or Shine gets first win at Blackwater's expense

The Rain or Shine Elasto Painters notched its first win in the PBA 48th Season Commissioner's Cup after taking down the Blackwater Bossing, 115-110, on Saturday at the Philsports Arena.

Andrei Caracut had 17 points, while reinforcement Demetrius Treadwell posted a double-double outing of 18 boards and 14 points. Santi Santillan and Adrian Nocum also chipped in 14 points apiece as the Elasto Painters snapped their five-game skid.

The win also spoiled Blackwater import Chris Ortiz' 46-point, 9-rebound effort as the Bossing lost their fifth straight game after winning their first in the season.

Earlier, the Phoenix Super LPG Fuel Masters escaped the Converge FiberXers, 99-98.

Phoenix improved to 5-1, while Converge remained winless in five games.

On Sunday, Meralco will face NLEX, while Barangay Ginebra will go against Terrafirma.
