Vosotros sinks OT game-winner as TNT wins 6th straight PBA 3x3 Grand Finals title
Almond Vosotros played the hero yet again as the veteran cager buried the game-winner to lead TNT to a 21-20 escape of Meralco in overtime to rule the PBA 3x3 Second Conference on Monday night at the Ayala Malls Trinoma.
With the victory, the Triple Giga have now won six straight grand finals titles starting from the third conference of the inaugural season in 2021.
The 33-year-old Vosotros finished with nine points, including the championship-clinching two late in overtime, as TNT extended its reign in the 3x3 circuit. Gryann Mendoza finished with six points and Exciminiano and Chester Saldua combined for another six points for the Triple Giga of coach Mau Belen.
“Tiwala lang kami sa isa’t isa, na hanggang hindi nakaka-shoot yung kalaban, babalik sa amin ang bola at may tsansa kaming manalo pa,” said Exciminiano of the win worth P750,000.
("We just trust in each other and until the opponents are able to shoot, we believe the ball will come back and we have a chance to win.")
The win also put the punctuation for a dominant second conference run for TNT, which won five of the six legs as MCFASolver Tech Centrale won the fourth leg.
