PBA: Fajardo, Perez, Aska tow San Miguel past Converge

June Mar Fajardo, CJ Perez, and reinforcement Ivan Aska towed the San Miguel Beermen past the Converge FiberXers, 105-96, on Saturday as the PBA Commissioner's Cup headed south to Tiaong, Quezon.

Aska had 28 points and 11 rebounds, while Perez had 24 points and 11 rebounds as the Beermen improved to 2-1. Fajardo added 22 points making them the only players who scored in double digits for San Miguel.

Converge trailed within one, 85-84, with 7:26 remaining before the Fajardo had a personal 8-0 run to widen the gap, 93-84, before San Miguel eventually took the win.

Aljun Melecio had 17 points, while Bryan Santos and reinforcement Tom Vodanovich had 11 points apiece, with the latter grabbing 20 rebounds.

On Sunday, the PBA will be back in the Philsports Arena where TNT takes on Magnolia at 3 p.m., and Barangay Ginebra facing Blackwater at 6:15 p.m.
