SMB rookie Kyt Jimenez suffers facial fracture in debut

San Miguel Beermen rookie Kyt Jimenez revealed on Monday that he was diagnosed with a blowout fracture near the boundary of his eyes and nose after his debut on Sunday.

Jimenez announced the development on Monday on his Facebook page.

"Welcome to the PBA talaga TRX Nation! Salamat sa lahat ng nagaalala, nangangamusta at nagdadasal para sa'kin (Welcome to the PBA, TRX Nation! Thanks for all those who worried, who checked in and who are praying for me)," he wrote on the caption of his photo where the injury was seen.

Jimenez' debut was cut short as he received an elbow from Cliff Hodge.

In 12 minutes of action, he sank two free throws, grabbed two rebounds, and had two steals as the Beermen defeated the Meralco Bolts, 93-83.

Jimenez was drafted 76th overall in the PBA Draft.
