PBA: Magnolia erases 25-point first half deficit to stun Barangay Ginebra

The Magnolia Chicken Timplados Hotshots overcame a 25-point deficit at the end of the first half to stun Barangay Ginebra San Miguel, 93-91, on Sunday in the PBA 48th Season Commissioner's Cup at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

After trailing, 60-35, at the end of the first half, Magnolia outscored Ginebra in the third period, 29-12, to end the said frame at 72-64. Ginebra led by 26 points, 51-25, with five minutes left in the second period.

Ginebra still had the lead with a minute and seven seconds left in the fourth quarter before free throws from Tyler Bey on fouls from Tony Bishop and Scottie Thompson sealed the deal for Magnolia.

Bey posted 31 points and 10 rebounds, while Jio Jalalon had 15 points as Magnolia improved to 4-0.

Maverick Ahanmisi had 21 points and 13 rebounds as Ginebra slipped to 1-1.

Magnolia will return to action on December 1 against the NLEX Road Warriors, while Ginebra will face the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters on November 24.
