PBA: Magnolia routs NorthPort for third straight win

The Magnolia Chicken Timplados Hotshots dismantled the NorthPort Batang Pier, 112-74, on Friday in the PBA 48th Season Commissioner's Cup at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

This is the Hotshots' third straight win since the season opener.

Magnolia relied on its strong start as it outscored NorthPort, 28-8, in the first frame before eventually ending the first half at 56-30. It was all Magnolia until the final buzzer as the Batang Pier was dealt their first loss after back-to-back wins.

Import Tyler Bey had 25 points, eight rebounds, and six assists for Magnolia, while Mark Barroca and Paul Lee added 17 and 16 points, respectively.

Arvin Tolentino registered 22 points, while import Venky Jois had 16 points, eight rebounds, and three assists.

Magnolia will return to action on Sunday in the Manila Clasico when they face Barangay Ginebra, while NorthPort will go against the NLEX Road Warriors on Wednesday.
