La Salle returns to UAAP Final Four at Adamson's expense

De La Salle University returned to the UAAP Final Four after winning against Adamson University, 69-57, on Wednesday in UAAP Season 86 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

The Green Archers missed the Final Four bus in Season 85 after falling to Adamson, 80-76, in December 2022.

Kevin Quiambao led the Taft-based squad with 11 points, 11 rebounds, three assists, three steals, and a block, while Mike Phillips had eight points and 11 boards as the Archers improved to 8-3.

Didap Hanapi had 16 points as the Soaring Falcons went to 5-6, tied with Ateneo.

This is La Salle's first Final Four stint with head coach Topex Robinson.

Sunday will be crucial for Adamson as they face the Blue Eagles, while La Salle will try to boost their bid for a twice-to-beat advantage as they go against UE.
