F2 Logistics guts out five-setter escape vs Farm Fresh; Cignal, Choco Mucho extend streaks

Ivy Lacsina and Jolina Dela Cruz were in their element as they towed F2 Logistics to a five-set victory against Farm Fresh, 28-26, 20-25, 25-23, 23-25, 15-8, in the second 2023 PVL All-Filipino Conference on Tuesday at the Philsports Arena.

Lacsina dropped a career-high 27 points anchored on 21 attacks, four blocks, and two aces as the Cargo Movers recovered from a straight sets loss to Petro Gazz to improve to 3-2.

Dela Cruz churned out the same number of points highlighted by 25 attacks as they spoiled a 30-point career-best outburst from Trisha Tubu and sent Farm Fresh to a 0-7 hole.

Meanwhile, both Cignal and Choco Mucho have extended their respective winning streaks.

The HD Spikers pulled off a 25-17, 25-17, 24-26, 25-11 victory against Galeries Tower behind a collective effort from Ces Molina, Vanie Gandler, and Jovelyn Gonzaga.

Molina put together 17 points while Gandler and Gonzaga chipped in 14 and 12 markers apiece as Cignal captured their third straight to hike their standing to 4-2. Galeries Tower, on the other hand, slipped to 0-5.

Likewise, Choco Mucho made quick work of Nxled with a 25-11, 25-20, 25-19 sweep behind Sisi Rondina, whose 16-point outing steered the Flying Titans to their fourth consecutive win for an improved 4-1 slate.

Choco Mucho is now in a four-way tie at the second spot with Petro Gazz, PLDT, and Chery Tiggo behind league leader and defending champion Creamline.
