June Mar Fajardo gets 7th PBA MVP award, Justin Arana is Rookie of the Year

June Mar Fajardo was named as the Most Valuable Player of the PBA's 47th season.

This is Fajardo's seventh overall MVP plum after he received the award for six straight seasons from 2014-2019.

Meanwhile, former Arellano University standout and NCAA Season 97 Mythical Team member Justin Arana received the Rookie of the Year award.

Here are the players recognized on Sunday in the Leo Awards held before the opening game of the 48th season of the PBA:

• First Mythical Team: June Mar Fajardo, Scottie Thompson, CJ Perez, Christian Standhardinger, Jamie Malonzo
• Second Mythical Team: Robert Bolick, Mikey Williams, Calvin Oftana, Calvin Abueva, Arvin Tolentino
• Rookie of the Year: Justin Arana
• Most Improved Player: Maverick Ahanmisi
• All-Defensive Team: Christian Standhardinger, June Mar Fajardo, Cliff Hodge, Jio Jalalon, Chris Newsome
• Sportsmanship Award: Kevin Alas
