June Mar Fajardo wins 7th PBA MVP award

June Mar Fajardo is the Most Valuable Player of the PBA's 47th season.

This is Fajardo's seventh overall MVP plum after he received the award for six straight seasons from 2014-2019.

Fajardo, who was also the Best Player of the Conference in the Philippine Cup, led the statistical point race with an average of 42.2 statistical points.

He bested Scottie Thompson, CJ Perez, and Christian Standhardinger for the top individual award.

The four players comprise the First Mythical Team alongside Jamie Malonzo.

The Second Mythical Team include Robert Bolick, Calvin Abueva, Calvin Oftana, Mikey Williams, and Arvin Tolentino.

Justin Arana was named as Rookie of the Year, while Maverick Ahanmisi was awarded the Most Improved Player. Kevin Alas won the Sportsmanship Award.

The All-Defensive team includes Fajardo, Standhardinger, Chris Newsome, Jio Jalalon, and Cliff Hodge.

The PBA will open tonight with the Commissioner's Cup as TNT takes on Magnolia at 7 p.m.
