Jordan Clarkson, Chot Reyes react to Gilas win vs. China

Former Gilas Pilipinas head coach Chot Reyes and NBA star Jordan Clarkson were among those who took to social media their expression of support after the national team defeated China, 77-76, in the men's basketball semifinals of the 19th Asian Games  on Wednesday.

Reyes congratulated the Philippine team and praised Justin Brownlee in his performance.

"YES, YES, YES!!! GILAS wins," Reyes wrote in his post.

Clarkson, meanwhile, wrote "Puso!" with the Philippine flag emoji on his X (formerly Twitter) account.

Reyes and Clarkson were part of the Gilas Pilipinas squad which competed in the 2023 FIBA World Cup held in the country. The Philippines finished 24th overall with a single win against China.

With the said finish, the Philippines qualified in the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament.

The Gilas Pilipinas team in the Asian Games, meanwhile, will face Rondae Hollis-Jefferson and his Jordan squad in the gold medal match on Friday.
