Jerom Lastimosa's jersey number retired by Adamson University

Adamson University retired Jerom Lastimosa's jersey no. 7 on Friday, ahead of his final playing year in UAAP Season 86 which will officially open on Saturday.

The University said the retirement of his jersey number is "in recognition of Jerom Lastimosa’s remarkable journey as an athlete."

Lastimosa joined the Soaring Falcons in 2018 and has remained with the San Marcelino-based squad despite offers from teams abroad.

In Season 85, Lastimosa posted 14.83 points, 4.33 rebounds, 3.42 assists, and 0.92 steals as he spearheaded Adamson's campaign en route to its first playoff appearance since Season 81. 

He was also part of the Gilas Pilipinas squad which won the gold medal in the Southeast Asian Games in Cambodia.

The Falcons will open its campaign on Sunday when they play the University of the Philippines.
