Fran Yu signs two-year deal with NorthPort


Former Colegio de San Juan de Letran standout Fran Yu inked a two-year deal with NorthPort as he starts his professional career in the PBA, his agent Danny Espiritu confirmed the development.

The former NCAA standout was drafted late in the recent PBA Draft, getting selected 40th overall by the Batang Pier where he will reunite with his college coach Bonnie Tan, who currently calls the shots for NorthPort.

Yu was among the key players who led the Knights to a three-peat championship in the NCAA alongside former teammates and fellow draftees Louie Sangalang, Brent Paraiso, King Caralipio, and Tommy Olivario.

At NorthPort, Yu will join a backcourt crew that features the likes of Joshua Munzon, Paolo Taha, and Arvin Tolentino.
