Ricci Rivero goes to Phoenix in PBA Draft 2023

Ricci Rivero is set to step foot in the PBA as he was drafted by the Phoenix Super LPG Fuel Masters on Sunday in the PBA Rookie Draft 2023.

He was selected 17th overall by Phoenix.

Rivero was a two-time UAAP champion as he was part of the De La Salle University squad which won the title in 2016 and the University of the Philippines crew which won in UAAP Season 84.

Rivero said he is excited to be part of the team which Jamike Jarin is handling.

"Excited na ako na kung anuman ang hingin sa'kin, mabigay sa kanila," he said in an interview.

(I'm excited to give what they will ask from me.)

Earlier, Terrafirma Dyip selected Stephen Holt as the top overall pick.
