Luka Doncic joins 200-point club in FIBA World Cup

Luka Doncic joined an exclusive club as he officially scored more than 200 points in a single FIBA World Cup campaign, steering Slovenia to a seventh place finish at the ongoing 2023 edition in Manila.

The 24-year-old gunner collected a total of 216 points, placing eighth on the list. Niko Galis of Greece tops the list with a record 337 points he set in 1986. Oscar Schmidt did the trick twice in 1986 and 1990 to secure the second and third slots with 281 and 277 markers.

Shin Dong Pa of Korea (261), Drazen Petrovic of Yugoslavia (252), Luis Scola of Argentina (244), and Antonello Riva of Italy (242) occupy the 4th to 7th places.

In his last game on Saturday, the Dallas Mavericks star flirted with a triple-double as he churned out 29 points, 10 rebounds, eight assists, and three steals.
