Pau Gasol meets fans in Manila

Basketball hall of famer Pau Gasol met with fans in Manila on Thursday ahead of the 2023 FIBA World Cup finals.

Gasol posted on X a selfie with his fans from an event at the Mall of Asia Arena.

“Mabuhay, Philippines!” Gasol wrote on his X account.

Gasol, along with Carmelo Anthony and WNBA legend Sue Bird, also joined USA Basketball in practice.

Anthony also arrived in Manila on Thursday.

Gasol and Anthony are in the country for a series of events leading to the World Cup finals. Bird and Gasol will also attend the announcement on Friday for the next 2026 FIBA Women’s World Cup.
