Team USA's bench players are game changers, says Brunson
Team USA's bench in the 2023 FIBA World Cup has been crucial in their past two games.
In the United States' first game against New Zealand, 54 of their 99 points came from the bench players, while in their game against Greece, the bench had 60 points.
Jalen Brunson, a starter during USA's match against Greece, praised his teammates for their immediate impact.
"That second group is relentless. They come in, they change the game from the moment they step on the court," Brunson said in a press conference on Tuesday.
"For us, that first group, we're getting better. We're going to start the game better," Reaves said, adding that it is also about their feel and how they attack the game.
The starters from the last match against Greece included Brunson, Brandon Ingram, Mikal Bridges, Anthony Edwards, and Jaren Jackson, Jr.

Despite this, Brunson said the learning process does not stop for the squad.
"We're still a new group, we're still growing, we're still learning. There's still a lot of time to get better before the next game," he said.
Team USA already advanced to the second round of the tournament following their wins against New Zealand and Greece. They will next face Jordan on Wednesday.
