Free rides available for FIBA World Cup opening ticket holders


Free shuttle rides are available for those who will be heading to the Philippine Arena in Bulacan for the opening day of the 2023 FIBA World Cup on August 25.

The Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas said it will deploy 400 49-seater buses from twelve take-off points across Metro Manila and certain points in Central Luzon.

Buses will be available at:

  • PITX Bus Terminal
  • Mall of Asia Arena
  • One Ayala Bus Terminal
  • BGC Market Market Bus Terminal
  • SM Megamall
  • Araneta City
  • Trinoma
  • SM North EDSA
  • Cloverleaf Ayala Mall Bus Terminal
  • SM Baliuag
  • SM Pampanga
  • SM Clark.

The free shuttle bus rides will leave at 11 am and 12 noon, and hourly from 1 pm to 5 pm.

Those interested in taking the shuttle rides may choose their preferred pick-up location and time at: https://bit.ly/3rNFIR4. The buses will also be available for pickup after the Gilas Pilipinas-Dominican Republic game.

The opening day will see Angola go against Italy at 4 pm, before the opening ceremony which will have acts from The Dawn, Ben & Ben, and Asia's pop royalty Sarah Geronimo. It will be followed by the campaign opener of the Philippine team at 8 pm.

SBP aims to break the record for most number of attendees in the FIBA World Cup which stands at 32, 616.
