Rain or Shine suffers second straight loss against Chinese Taipei in Jones Cup

The Rain or Shine Elasto Painters lost in the Jones Cup for the second straight night after falling prey to the Chinese Taipei White team, 89-79, on Sunday in Taiwan.

The Taiwanese home squad got hot early as they scored 30 points against the Philippine representative's 14-point output to open the game. The Chinese Taipei squad had a 17-point lead at the end of the first half, 54-37, before they closed the third period at 75-53.

Rain or Shine outscored Chinese Taipei White in the fourth period, 24-14, before absorbing another loss after falling to Chinese Taipei Blue on Saturday.

Ange Kouame registered 15 points and nine rebounds, while Nick Evans and Gian Mamuyac had 11 points apiece. Nick Demusis posted 10 markers.

Rain or Shine will try to barge into the win column on Monday when they face the United Arab Emirates.
