Jordan Clarkson and Kai Sotto finally joined Gilas Pilipinas in practice for the first time on Wednesday night at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig, a little over two weeks ahead of the 2023 FIBA World Cup which will be held in the Philippines.
Gilas Pilipinas head coach Chot Reyes shared on Instagram a video of the two players joining practice for the first time since the team came back from the 2023 Heyuan WUS International Basketball Tournament in China, where the nationals finished with a 3-1 record.

Clarkson arrived in Manila on Tuesday, while Sotto did not join the national team in China due to a back injury during his stint with the Orlando Magic in the NBA Summer League.
The two players are expected to boost Gilas as they face Dominican Republic on opening night in August 25 at the Philippine Arena, Angola on August 27, and Italy on August 29 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
