Barangay Ginebra closes PBA On Tour with win vs NLEX despite Jeremiah Gray injury
Barangay Ginebra San Miguel closed the PBA On Tour with a win against the NLEX Road Warriors, 91-85, on Sunday at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.
NLEX was leading 71-67 early in the fourth period before Barangay Ginebra took the lead and eventually led by as much as 11 with less than two minutes left.
Ginebra took the win despite an apparent knee injury by a screaming Jeremiah Gray during the final minutes of the third period. Gray, who scored eight points in the game, was eventually stretchered off the court after the incident.
Von Pessumal led Ginebra with 23 points, while Sidney Onwubere had 16 points and 10 rebounds as they finished with six wins and five losses.
Earlier, the Blackwater Bossing had a 101-78 rout of the TNT Tropang Giga to finish third in the offseason tournament with seven wins and four losses. TNT, meanwhile, ended the season with a dismal 1-10 record.
