Wilcon Depot impresses anew as PBA 3x3 Leg 4 unfurls

Debuting ballclub Wilcon Depot made another strong showing as it remained unbeaten in the opening day of Leg 4 of the PBA 3x3 Season 3 First Conference on Monday at the Ayala Malls Circuit in Makati.

Wilcon closed out the elimination round with a perfect 3-0 win-loss card in Pool B after beating Blackwater (14-13), Pioneer Elastoseal (17-16), and NorthPort (18-14) to book its ticket to the playoffs.

In Pool A, Leg 1 and Leg 2 champion Barangay Ginebra was sent crashing out of contention following losses to TNT and Meralco. The Triple Giga and the Bolts, meanwhile, earned the two quarterfinals tickets after collecting a 1-1 and 2-0 cards, respectively.

TNT, the grand slam winner last season, is eyeing for back-to-back leg titles after reigning supreme in the previous leg with a 17-13 triumph against Pioneer.

Meanwhile, San Miguel and Cavitex lead Pool C as both the Beermen and the Braves defeated Purefoods and Terrafirma.
