Arvin Tolentino drops 41 vs Phoenix as NorthPort cops back-to-back wins

Arvin Tolentino exploded from deep as NorthPort cruised to its second consecutive win with a 105-86 victory against Phoenix Super LPG in the PBA On Tour on Friday at the Ynares Sports Arena.

Tolentino, who was part of the Gilas Pilipinas team that captured the gold medal in the 32nd SEA Games last May, erupted for 41 points on 7-of-11 from the rainbow country alongside five rebounds, two assists, and three steals.

JM Calma was two rebounds shy of a double-double outing as he churned out 21 markers and eight boards together with three steals and two dimes from the bench as the Batang Pier improved to 5-4.

The Fuel Masters, on the other hand, slipped to their third straight loss to go 3-6.

Earlier, Blackwater stretched its winning streak to three after escaping Meralco, 89-82, to improve to 6-3 and claim the solo third spot in the team standings.

Troy Rosario took charge with an outing of 21 points and nine rebounds alongside one assist while Mike Digregorio chipped in 16 markers off the bench laced with four boards and one dime.

The Bolts, who fell to 6-4, got solid performances from the duo of Raymond Almazan and Bong Quinto, who each churned out 18 points with the former grabbing 14 rebounds as well.
