Terrafirma stuns TNT, but loses Kevin Ferrer to injury in PBA On Tour

Terrafirma snapped its losing skid with a 104-92 stunner against TNT Tropang Giga in the 2023 PBA On Tour, but lost key player Kevin Ferrer to injury on Wednesday at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.

Ferrer suffered an ankle injury with 14 seconds left in the second period, which ended with the Dyip down by four points, 42-38. He was then stretchered off the court and never returned to the game since then.

However, other Terrafirma players stepped up as Allen Mina dropped all of his 10 points in the third to power a 42-point explosion for the Dyip as their lead ballooned to 13, 80-67.

Juami Tiongson carried the load for Terrafirma with 21 points, three assists, two rebounds, two steals, and block while Ed Daquioag and Isaac Go chipped in 16 and 15 markers apiece.

Ferrer was able to finish with seven points and three rebounds in 19 minutes of action.

Terrafirma now barged into the win column with a 1-2 card while TNT is still winless at 0-2.

The loss spoiled a near double-double outing from Glenn Khobuntin who churned out 25 points and nine rebounds.
