Coach Jerry Yee released by Adamson as he returns to pro league
Jerry Yee was released by Adamson University just hours after he was announced as the head coach of Farm Fresh, which will make its professional debut in the 2023 PVL Invitational Conference.
The school posted the development on Wednesday, marking the end to Yee's stint as the Lady Falcons' mentor after just one season.
"It is with great regret that we are releasing Coach Jerry Yee from his commitment with ADAMSON UNIVERSITY as Head Coach of the Women's Volleyball Team (WVT) effective today, June 7, 2023," the school said in a Facebook post.
"We understand his desire to return to the professional league and though it pains us to see him go, he has our complete and sincere support in his new endeavor."
In his lone season with Adamson, Yee, who is also at the helm of De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde's women's volleyball team in the NCAA, led the Lady Falcons to a Final Four appearance in UAAP Season 85, their first in nine years.
Yee led the Lady Blazers to two NCAA titles in Season 97 and 98.
